Ants?
We eliminate them
Carpenter, pharaoh, pavement ant, odorous… each species has its own method. Free assessment, precise identification, guaranteed treatment by certified technicians.

An ant invasion can't be solved with a spray, it has to be solved at source.
There are dozens of species of ants in Quebec, and each requires a different approach. Our certified technicians identify the species, locate the nest (indoor or outdoor) and apply Health Canada-approved baits that eliminate the entire colony, including the queen.
Home, apartment building, restaurant or business: we tailor the treatment to the species and the building, with a written guarantee and follow-up.
The longer you wait, the more it costs.
The right species, the right treatment
Not all ants can be treated in the same way: the carpenter ant burrows into wood, the pharaoh ant splits if sprayed, the pavement ant nests outside. Identify first, treat later.
The nest is the real target
Crushing or spraying visible workers solves nothing: the queen continues to lay eggs. Target the colony with bait brought back to the nest.
A colony grows fast
A few workers become an infestation within a few weeks, especially in spring and summer. The longer you wait, the longer it takes to resolve.

Pavement ant
Forms mounds of fine earth between the cobblestones and enters the kitchen in summer for sugar.
Black ant
The most common species in Quebec: colonies under stones, slabs and along foundations.
Scented ant
Smells like crushed coconut when crushed; loves sweet foods.
Pharaoh ant
Tiny and active 12 months a year; treats only with bait, never with spray.
Red-headed ant
Recognizable by its reddish head; can nest in wood softened by humidity.
Winged ant
Winged breeders appear in spring, a sign of a mature colony nearby.
What you need to know about ants
The essentials below. For details of each species, see the sheets above.
Ants in brief
Social insects living in hierarchical colonies (queen, workers). Most seek sugar, fat and water; some bore into wood. Recognizing the species is the key to effective treatment.
- Worker trails along walls and baseboards
- Small mounds of fine earth or sawdust
- Winged ants in spring (swarming)
- Increased presence near sugar, fat and water

We answer your questions.
Size, color and behavior help: big and black in wood (carpenter), tiny and light in a heated building (pharaoh), mounds between cobblestones (cobblestone ant), smell of crushed coconut (odorant). Our free inspection identifies the species before any treatment – see also the sheets above.
Commercial sprays kill visible workers but not the queen. Without bait brought back to the nest, the colony reconstitutes itself. That’s why we treat the source, not just the ants on the counter.
Yes: they dig galleries in wood (especially damp wood) and can weaken the structure. They have their own dedicated page – they are treated with baits targeting the entire colony.
Most residential treatments range from $150 to $600, depending on the species, size and number of nests. Inspection and quotation are free.
