Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 3, 2026

MW Extermination is committed to protecting the personal information you entrust to us. This policy explains what information we collect, why, how long we keep it and what your rights are. It is drawn up in accordance with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.

Privacy officer

William Ménard acts as the person in charge of the protection of personal information at MW Extermination. Any question, or request for access, correction or withdrawal, can be sent to him by email at mwextermination@gmail.com or by phone at 1 866 499-6996.

Information we collect

When you fill out a quote form on our site, we collect your name, phone number, email address and the content of your message. When you become a customer, we also collect the address of the building to be treated and the history of the treatments carried out.

As you browse, cookies collect technical data: pages viewed, time on site, device type, traffic source and truncated IP address. This data is processed by Google Analytics and Google Ads.

Why we collect it

Your contact details are used to reach you, answer your request, prepare a quote, schedule a treatment and follow up on the warranty. The treatment history documents the products applied, which is necessary to honour the written warranty and to meet our obligations regarding pesticide application. Browsing data is used to measure the performance of the site and of our advertising campaigns.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

How long we keep it

Customer files, including contact details and treatment history, are kept for five years after the last treatment, then securely destroyed. Quote requests that do not lead to a contract are kept for twelve months. Browsing data follows Google Analytics default retention periods.

Sharing with third parties

Your information may be shared with our technicians and subcontractors who carry out the treatment, with our web hosting provider, and with Google for audience measurement and advertising purposes. These providers may process data outside Quebec. We grant each of them only the access strictly necessary for their task.

Your rights

You have the right to access the information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is inaccurate, to withdraw your consent to its use, to request its deletion and to obtain a copy in a structured technological format. You may also ask us to stop disseminating personal information concerning you. We respond to any request within thirty days.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’acces a l’information du Quebec.

Cookies

Our site uses cookies necessary for it to work, as well as audience measurement and advertising cookies. You can refuse or delete them in your browser settings. Refusing measurement cookies does not prevent you from using the site.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and access to customer files is limited to the people who need it for their work. In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, we will notify the individuals concerned as well as the Commission d’acces a l’information.

Website content, artificial intelligence and human review

The pages on this website are written and updated with the help of artificial intelligence tools. Every sentence, figure and link is then checked against its source and approved by a person before publication. No content goes online without that review.

Editorial review of the website is carried out by Jacob Bédard, an SEO consultant, whose professional profile can be found on LinkedIn.

If you spot inaccurate information on this website, write to us or call 1-866-499-6996 and we will correct it.

Changes

Any change to this policy is published on this page with a revised update date.
